Equality Maryland is Seeking Fall Interns

Equality Maryland is seeking students for our fall internship program. We are looking for people interested in our development, organizing, communications and political programs. This is a great opportunity to experience the inner workings of politics and elections and to make a difference for the LGBT community in your day-to-day work. Interns will get hands on experience working on exciting organizing and outreach initiatives and will be on the front lines in our work to achieve true and lasting equality in the Free State!

Interns will help to advance Equality Maryland’s two key initiatives - defending marriage equality at the ballot box in November, and enacting anti-discrimination protections for transgender Marylanders. Interns support the work of Equality Maryland’s volunteers and coalition partners, including assisting staff, managing lists, organizing field activities, and responding to the needs of members. All Interns will receive trainings on an on-going basis as well as opportunities to hear from leaders in the fight for equality. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with Equality Maryland staff and to take on independent projects.

If you are interested in being a fall intern for EQMD, please email Vanessa at vanessa@equalitymaryland.org.
