February is National African American/Black History Month

Check out some of the many events this month!

Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of Blacks in U.S. history. The event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans.

Come celebrate Black History Month with the Mosaic and attend events such as our PawTalk: QueenEarth and QueerCore and What’s The Tea: Black, Queer, and Here! where we will be having a discussion on the intersection of being both Black and queer and how that has impacted the lives of those who identify within those communities.
