Dear Members of the UMBC Community,

We are deeply saddened by the senseless and horrific mass shooting that took so many innocent lives last night in Las Vegas. The UMBC community offers our deepest condolences for all of those affected by this tragedy, including the hundreds of people who were also wounded in the attack.

We want to be certain that faculty, staff, and students who may need support as a result of this incident have information about available resources. Faculty and staff can request counseling through the Inova Employee Assistance Program by calling 1-800-346-0110. Students seeking support in light of this incident can access the Counseling Center at (410) 455-2472 or, at the Shady Grove campus, the USG Center for Counseling and Consultation at (301) 738-6273.

Thank you for all you do every day to keep UMBC a safe and caring learning community.
