Description

Help us and the wider UMBC immigrant community by providing feedback on our newest departmental curriculum: i3b's DreamZone Immigrant Allyship Development Training!

This 5.5 hour workshop is designed to help students, staff, faculty, and alumni to create a more welcoming, affirmative atmosphere for immigrant members of the UMBC community. The program includes a variety of activities for community members at all levels of knowledge and comfort with the immigrant experience and concerns, from basic terminology, core concepts, immigrant intersections, stories to skills-based sessions on immigrant-based policy and allyship development.

After the beta run of the program is complete, we will allow time for feedback from participants to help us address any needs from both immigrant community members and their allies. Participants who participate will have the opportunity to be the first ones to join UMBC i3b’s formal network of DreamZone Ally List. This will be the last beta run before it’s official launch in Fall 2022! Lunch will be provided.

An RSVP is required for participation-please RSVP at this LINK.

Click "going" and fill out our RSVP Form if you are planning to attend. Once you RSVP, you will receive a calendar invite.
