Meet & Greet - Latinx / Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Award Ceremony for Dr. Ana María Schwartz Caballero

The Latinx/Hispanic Faculty Association (LHFA) invites you to meet Latinx/Hispanic students and professors at UMBC.

Celebrate Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month with us!

We will have a poster session, a raffle, UMBC swag, food and drinks!

During this event we will also announce the winners of the first LHFA awards and recognize the trajectory of Dr. Ana María Schwartz Caballero at UMBC. Come join us!

This event will feature a poster session to share our research and ongoing projects with students and other faculty. If you are already have a poster, please share it with all of us, since students are invited, it would be a great opportunity to showcase the work we do.

*Masks encouraged

If you are not on campus, and with accessibility in mind, we can also showcase your work in the following PPT, which will be part of the poster session: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1la97xpcEqTEqYNC9Dkkz-DqdGQt0YcMHB-KqBfzLCR0/edit#slide=id.p

Please email us at LHFA@umbc.edu if you have any questions or would like to participate with a poster. We will also be discussing this event on our first meeting of the semester this coming Friday, Sept. 30th at 12pm online:

*This event was discussed during the last meeting of LHFA (in May). We are happy we can finally make it happen.

Please download the flyer, post it around campus, and share it with your students and colleagues.
