Fall Gatherings: Social Justice

What defines us is not whether crises happen, but how we respond to them. How is UMBC continuing to redefine excellence in higher education at the intersection of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement, and economic disruption?
Faculty, staff, and students are invited to share your stories and learn together in a series of virtual gatherings during the 2020-2021 academic year. Please join your colleagues and special guests for:

The UMBC community is invited to learn about our Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Campus Center and our campus’s connection to a national framework addressing race equity. The Shriver Center’s Choice Program, along with community partners, will also share how structural racism has impacted youth development in Maryland and how we all can become agents of change.
